About the ACETS Project

The ACETS project is funded under the JISC's X4L programme is involved in investigating pedagogical use of reusable learning objects in a wide range of healthcare educational settings.

Project Progress

ACETS is being presented at the following conferences in the Summer and Autumn of 2005: Slice of Life, ED-MEDIA, ASME and AMEE.

ACETS will close the Project with a symposium in Edinburgh on 8-9 November 2005. The symposium will provide participants with an opportunity to share the experiences and ideas of those who have first hand experience with using third party learning objects and resources in their teaching. It will outline the opportunities and benefits which reuse can bring to teaching and learning as well as the associated problems and pitfalls. The symposium is running back to back with the HE Academy Subject Centre for Medicine, Dentistry and Veterinary Medicine's 'Breaking Boundaries 2' Conference.

21 Exemplars now completed - the ACETS Project has now received 21 Exemplar case Studies from a wide range of institutions, teachers and subject areas.

ACETS Resource Jump Page

Part of the ACETS project is focused on resource discovery in support of educational practice. To that end we are constructing a resource 'jump page' of sites providing potentially appropriate and useful resources to the ACETS Project's communities.
